Opening doors towards sustaining and improving lives globally
Bridge Over Troubled Waters are raising funds to provide financial support for people around the world affected by Natural Disasters. 2008 has been the worst year to date for these types of devastating events. Places such as Burma, Haiti, Pakistan, the Philippines, the Caribbean, Malawi have seen millions of people displaced due to flooding, cyclones, earthquakes and other forms of natural disasters.
Bridge Over Troubled Waters (BOTW) is an events led organisation founded by CEO Lorraine Gabriel. "I strongly believe the third sector market has plenty of room for new organisations. This has already been proven by the escalating growth of the company, which in the three months since it’s inception in July has recruited five Global Ambassadors positioning themselves to positively impact the lives of those in need. In addition we have been endorsed by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) and the Integrated Regional Information Network (IRIN) whose news related articles will help to assist the company in meeting one of its key objectives: to report news as and when it happens globally”.
We appreciate the challenges of third sector organisations within and despite the current economical climate and strongly believe we can make a tremendous difference towards positively impacting the lives of others prior to and as an outcome of natural disasters.
At BOTW we "open doors" to ordinary people and invite them to join us in advancing the wellbeing of others, further extending the invitation to enable individuals and organisations, to organise their own events to raise funds as part of the BOTW SUPPORTERS CAMPAIGN, thereby swiftly extending the potential and overall reach at home and abroad towards making real change. With a collective of professional men, women and business owners from across the UK at the helm, and one based internationally linking us to the global community through satellite transmission and broadcast.
We are a Social Enterprise with charitable objectives, conducted through day to day business with a team that are passionate about the remit to raise funds on a regular and on-going basis to help improve the lives and wellbeing of people around the globe who have been affected by natural and other disasters. We embrace the opportunities to raise funds for charities and form alliances with established organisations within the sector.
